The University of Chichester is a modern university with an older foundation established in 1839. It continues to be one of the top publicly-funded modern university in the UK for student satisfaction, according to the latest version of the Complete University Guide, published in April 2012. Research at the University is highly rated too, with almost 75% being judged to be world-leading, internationally excellent or internationally recognized.
